How to Fit Your Mouthguard

  1. Test the Fit
    Place the mouthguard over your upper teeth to check the size. If it's too long or uncomfortable, trim the ends with scissors until it fits comfortably.

  2. Soften the Mouthguard
    Immerse the mouthguard in near-boiling water (approximately 70–80°C) for 10 seconds. Use a spoon to remove it and shake off any excess water. (Be careful - the water will be hot!, this will sterilize it as well)

  3. Mould to Your Teeth
    Immediately place the softened mouthguard into your mouth, positioning it over your upper teeth. Bite down firmly but gently to create an even impression.

  4. Shape for a Secure Fit
    While biting, press your tongue against the roof of your mouth and use your fingers to mould the mouthguard around your teeth and gums for a snug fit. (no more than 30 seconds)

  5. Set the Shape
    Remove the mouthguard and place it in cold water to set the shape.

  6. Repeat if Necessary
    If the fit isn't comfortable or secure, repeat the process until you achieve the desired fit.

Aftercare Tips

    • After each use, wash the mouthguard in a mild antiseptic solution, rinse thoroughly with clean water, and dry completely before storing it in its container. 

    • Regular cleaning helps maintain hygiene and extends the life of your mouthguard.
